Running Records and Leveled Books

Running records are a great way to assess your students’ reading and comprehension skills.  A new page on running records is now available if you are unfamiliar with this form of assessment.

Leveled books in the classroom libraries are essential these days and many schools around the country are currently providing leveled readers for their students.  For more information and ideas on how to get your classroom library leveled, go to the new page:

Idea Submission

I just love technology — especially when it fails!

The idea submission hasn’t been working for a few weeks — so if you submitted an idea and did not get a response, that means I never received your ideas.

So, if you would like to submit them again, the form is now fixed and available.  Send your ideas!!  I miss getting them and reading them! Thanks!

New page for new teachers

There is a new page for new teachers who are entering classrooms for the first time. This page organizes all the resources new teachers will need — New Teacher Page.

On a personal note, my summer reading list has been updated! I am a pretty fast reader so I always have a pile of books on hand when I’m finished reading my current pile. Take a look on the side to see my revised summer reading!
